ABOUT Flora Jade
Flora has always had an interest in gymnastics from a young age. Then at the age of around 12, Flora decided to give it a go. She joined Gympie Special Olympics to help her get into the sport. Gympie Gymnastics was the club to do it at. Flora loved it. She struggled with every bit of it. However pushed through with encouragement from her super supportive coach. Natalie Upshal.
After a year or more, Flora entered her 1st competition. And the results were fantastic. Coming away with not only trophies. But a new found emotion of self confidence and be proud of herself.
Special Olympics supports athletes with disabilities to achieve their sporting goals. And they did this with Flora.
Flora has been chosen to represent QLD in the next National Games in Melbourne this year. She was absolutely thrilled and so excited when she heard the news.
It is going to be expensive. Needing to raise $4,900. This is going to fund the flights, accommodation, meals, team uniform and the whole event.
We are fundraising to help her get there to reach a major goal she has set.
With the help of everyone, together I hope we can make this happen. Flora is set to wear the Qld Maroon uniform and do her team proud.
Any help will benefit us gratefully. We thankyou for taking the time to read our request in supporting Floras journey.
