    ABOUT Flynn Vines

Flynn is an aspiring 11 year old country Victorian baseball player. Flynn plays for Albury Bears Baseball Club during the winter season, and plays for Essendon Baseball Club during the summer season.

Flynn has an exciting few months ahead of him, he’s off to USA in June for a U12’s Baseball Tour featuring some of SA, Victoria and Qld’s most promising up and coming baseball players, this tour is an exceptional opportunity for Flynn to develop valuable life skills such as resilience, leadership, independence, confidence and the ability to support & work as a team and not the mention he will be playing against the best U12 baseball players in the world, the USA!

Initially, Flynn will land in the USA in June 2025 for the baseball tour and will then fly directly onto QLD with his team Twins Black Team to represent Victoria against some of the best developing U12 teams in Australia. In the meantime Flynn will continue to be 110% dedicated to his training and team in Melbourne to continue to enhance his skills and be the best prepared he can possibly be.

During the course of December 2024 Baseball Victoria hosted there annual Baseball tryout for state representation. U12 baseball players attend these tryouts in to show their skills to ultimately earn a sport on a team to compete at the Knox Baseball Tournament which was held recently in April. These tryouts were competitive and the skill level was exceptional.

Throughout the time leading up to the Knox Baseball Tournament, Flynn worked incredibly hard. Training everyday including 2 Melbourne trips each week travelling in excess of 8 hours round trip each time to train alongside his team to be prepared. The commitment of these young athletes was sensational. All competing teams presented a high level of athletes and the competition was tough. However, our Twins Black team managed to bring together an undefeated tournament and we were rewarded with the championship, a well-deserved result for their hard work.

The Baseball community in Australia continues to exponentially flourish and we are so proud to be a part of this venture in all in offers. Ultimately Qld is the best place to host the nationals, the teams we are up against are good, they are really good, but Flynn will go prepared. He will be ready for the challenge against every team we face.

The sacrifices Flynn continues to make to ensure he is best prepared for the travel and the competitions that lay ahead. Flynn’s committed to contribute to the team and determination to continue to learn is inspirational. His commitment to manage his schooling, training and extensive travel is evident, most importantly he enjoys every minute of it.

Like any sport in Australia it’s financially difficult for families to cover the mounting costs that are associated with athletes that make it beyond their recreational local sporting club. That's why we need assistance to keep our representation of Australian kids travelling interstate and internationally to play sport and showcase what they have to offer, I know Flynn will remember the support he receives and would repay the gesture to an individual or a team to support their journey one day.

National tournaments have considerable costs involved, in this instance the estimated costs accounted with our travel to Qld for the National Tournament is between $3,500 to $4,500 – any contribution will assist Flynn to cover airfares, accommodation, transport, uniforms and training/playing equipment.
