ABOUT Georgia Harris
I have been selected to compete in the 100m at the 2025 FISU World University Games in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany, as part of Australia's largest-ever UniRoos athletics team.
My journey in athletics has been marked by resilience and determination as I have had to make strong comebacks from injuries especially knee surgery in 2019.
Some significant achievements, include winning gold in the 100m at the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara, Winning gold at the U20 National 100m Champion, representing Australia at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships in Cali, Colombia, and recently the 2025 World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou, China for 4x100m.
To support my participation in the World University Games, I am actively fundraising to cover expenses such as travel, accommodation, and competition fees. I strongly believe this opportunity is a pivotal step in my Senior athletic career, allowing me to gain further international experience and represent my country and University on a global stage.
This moment means everything to me.
I’ve dedicated my life and time—at least six days a week—to training, recovery, and preparation in pursuit of this dream. Every early morning session, every sprint rep, every sacrifice I've made socially and financially has led me to this point.
But representing Australia comes with significant costs. As this is a fully self-funded event, I am currently seeking support to help cover expenses such as travel, accommodation, team fees, uniforms, and physiotherapy. While I would never let money stop me from chasing my goals, the financial burden is real—and your support could be the difference that gets me on that starting line in Germany.
I care deeply about this journey because it’s more than just one race. It’s a stepping stone towards my ultimate goal of becoming an Olympian. It’s proof that years of resilience— coming back from knee surgery, balancing university with elite training, and representing Australia at the World U20 Championships and Pacific Games—are all worth it.
I’m not just running for myself. I’m running for every young girl who dreams of greatness, for every athlete who’s had to come back stronger, and for the pride of wearing green and gold on the world stage.
Your generosity is not just helping me compete—you’re helping a lifelong dream become reality.
