Junior Coaching

Glen Iris Cricket Club (GICC) has a well-established junior program with a dozen teams across Under 9s to Under 16s and a strong Blasters program as a feeder system. The club is well-represented in junior representative squads and has a strong culture built around teamwork and the spirit of the game.

In a concerted effort to improve the juniors program, in the 2025/26 season we employed a coach for the juniors program with a focus on development and pathways. This appointment was successful, so we are continuing the relationship.

Obviously, this enhancement to the program comes with some additional costs and would increase the cost to our junior parents. The clubs is actively trying to keep the fees charged to our juniors as low as possible and is therefore seeking donations to help defray these costs - and hopefully further enhance the program in the future.
