Giddy Up Gold Coast provides mental health programs for our youth that make a positive impact in early intervention. Program funding is needed to offer those that could greatly benefit to engage in Equine Assisted Learning.

Our community has increasing problems in disengaged youth through trauma and learning difficulties, and hence the demand for flexi schools and alternative learning programs. Horses are therapy without therapy and is highly underutilised because of the cost. Anything with horses is expensive because the cost to keep horses and property near suburban areas is becoming unsustainable. This is why we need to support quality horse riding schools with experienced instructors and educated horses to keep our heritage for our kids, or society will continue to become a concrete jungle with increased chaos.

Kids with anxiety or growing up in child safety housing need your help. Do you ask yourself "why are these young kids roaming around the streets"? I used to think "where are their parents"? There are many deep and troubling answers to this question, and horses are proven to provide meaningful impacts on lives. Wouldn't it be amazing to see more kids with care and respect for others!

Combine foundational horsemanship with therapeutic, ground-based activities to improve emotional regulation, confidence, and empathy. These programs can cater to all ages, utilizing non-judgmental equine interactions to foster mental well-being, reduce anxiety, and teach life skills.

Our facility at Bonogin Valley Horse Retreat est. for 20yrs has over 50yrs of knowledge to share in horsemanship and riding experiences, and we need to help sustain it's future for the health of our community.
