At Gippsland Grammar Rowing, we pride ourselves on being a high‑performance, community‑driven rowing program that offers students the chance to grow as athletes and as people. As the only school rowing program east of Melbourne, we have built a strong tradition that continues to shape who we are and what we stand for.

We work hard to give our rowers opportunities to compete at every level—local, state, national, and even international. Our crews regularly achieve podium finishes at major regattas such as the Victorian State Championships, the Head of the Schoolgirls, the Australian Rowing Championships, and have competed at world‑renowned events like the Henley Royal Regatta and Junior World Championships. These results reflect the depth of our program and the dedication we pour into it each season.

Training with us means becoming part of a supportive and determined community. We commit to 18–20 hours of training a week, balancing gym, erg, and water sessions. Our coaches—including our overseas gap coaches and many Old Scholars and volunteers —work closely with our crews, and our families support us tirelessly through volunteering, catering, and event assistance. This culture of teamwork, resilience, and shared effort is a defining part of who we are.

We are also proud to contribute to rowing in our region. By hosting events like the Sale Small Boats Head, we welcome competitors from across Victoria and showcase our home waterways. These events strengthen our community ties and give our athletes invaluable racing experience on familiar water.

Above all, we are about excellence, opportunity, and personal growth. Whether our students go on to win medals, represent Australia, earn scholarships overseas, or simply discover a lifelong love for rowing, we strive to make Gippsland Grammar Rowing a place where they can thrive—on and off the water.
