    ABOUT Grace Hardy

    Perth, WA

Softball has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. It’s more than just a sport to me — it’s where I’ve learned discipline, resilience, teamwork, confidence, and how to keep showing up even when things get hard.

I’m currently raising funds to help me take a HUGE step in my softball journey and represent Australia, I can't wait to face international competition and help be part of the team that gets Australia to the U15 Softball World cup in LA 2027.

The costs involved with elite softball are enormous — travel, uniforms, equipment, tournament fees, training, accommodation, and interstate and international competition all add up quickly. Every fundraiser, sponsorship, and donation helps take one more step toward making this dream achievable and the financial pressure off my parents.

I do work and contribute as much as I can, but I am a year 10 student at high school and am aiming to continue my studies into eventually studying engineering at college in the USA, so study takes a lot of my time, as well as training.

What makes this so important to me is that softball isn’t just something I play — it’s something I’ve committed myself to completely. Early mornings, late nights, training sessions, strength work, recovery, missed social events, long weekends away competing… it’s all worth it because this is what I love.

My ambition is to continue developing as an athlete, compete at elite representative level, and create opportunities for my future through softball. I want to prove to myself that hard work, consistency, and determination can take you further than people expect. I also want to be someone younger athletes can look up to — showing that girls from Australia and West Australia can chase big goals and back themselves.

I know talent alone doesn’t make things happen. I’m prepared to work for every opportunity I get. I’ll keep training, learning, competing, and pushing myself to improve both on and off the field. This journey is built on dedication, sacrifice, and a genuine love for the game.

To everyone supporting me — whether through donations, sponsorships, attending fundraisers, sharing posts, or simply encouraging me along the way — thank you. Your support genuinely helps make these opportunities possible, and I’m incredibly grateful to have people backing me while I chase this dream.
