Hailey's Journey to Fiji 2027

Our daughter, Hailey, has recently been selected by Wanderers Australia to participate in the U13/14 Hockey Tour to Fiji in December 2027.

What makes this opportunity even more special is that Hailey took a 12-month break from hockey to explore other sports and interests. Although she wasn't currently playing club hockey, she was still selected to represent her school and went on to compete at the PSSA Hockey Trials in Bathurst. While she was unsuccessful in progressing to the next level, she continued to show determination, resilience and a love for the sport.

As a family, we had always expected Hailey would return to hockey next year, so receiving her invitation to join the Fiji tour came as a complete surprise. We are incredibly proud of her selection and excited for the opportunities this experience will provide.

The tour will provide Hailey with the opportunity to further develop her hockey skills, build confidence, form friendships with other young athletes and create lifelong memories. It is an incredible opportunity for her to continue growing both as an athlete and as a young person, while representing her community on an international stage.

We are fundraising to assist with the costs associated with the tour, including travel, accommodation, uniforms and participation expenses. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help make this opportunity possible and support Hailey as she represents her community overseas.
