Help Hamish Kick Goals: Support His Soccer Dream!
We (Hamish's parents Emma and Ben) are excited to announce our fundraising campaign to support Hamish, and we need your help to reach his goal! Whether you're passionate about soccer or just want to support youth development, your donation will make a real difference. By contributing, you’re investing in the growth, development and success of Hamish's future within Australian soccer.
Why Your Support Matters!
Hamish is an 8-year-old aspiring soccer player who is part of his local Estates Football Club, Jeremy Brockie U9 High Performance Academy, and Football Queensland Northern (FQN) U9 State Team. Hamish has been identified as a talented football player and has had multiple opportunities to train with Brisbane City, MA Olympic, and Melbourne Victory Academy Teams.
Soccer is more than just a game for Hamish. He lives and breathes soccer and is at his happiest when he is on the soccer pitch. Hamish currently trains 6 days per week, and these training sessions combine a mixture of individual lessons with his individual development coach, and group training with his U11 Estates community team, U9 with his High-Performance Team at Jeremy Brockie, and U9 Football Queensland State Team. Soccer is a platform for Hamish to learn valuable life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and perseverance. For Hamish, soccer provides a positive outlet for self-expression and a sense of belonging. However, playing at a competitive level comes with significant costs, including:
- Uniforms & equipment: purchase, maintenance and repairs, ensuring Hamish is fully equipped and ready for the season.
- Travel Expenses: covering the costs of training camps, competitions, transport, and accommodation.
- Highlights from 2025:
- Hamish attended the Real Madrid Soccer Camp in Brisbane in April 2025, which was a transformative 5-day camp experience, featuring 6 hours of daily football training. The camp was very competitive with young aspiring soccer players from across Australia participating in a camp that focused on talent development. Hamish was identified and selected to attend a Real Madrid camp in Spain in 2026. However, given his current domestic training commitments this will not be facilitated.
- Hamish has been invited to attend Brisbane City Football club to train with their U8, 9’s and 10’s Academy teams in April 2025 and was also invited to attend their 2-day Skills Workshop in April 2025. Hamish was invited back to train with the Brisbane City Academies in June 2025.
- Hamish was also invited by Brisbane Olympic Football club to train with their U9 and U10 Academy and Kangaroo Teams in August 2025.
- Hamish was invited by Melbourne Victory club to train with their U10 Pre Academy Centre (PAC) Teams in November 2025.
- Hamish has also received open invites to train with the Brisbane City, MA Olympic Academy Teams, and Melbourne Victory PAC Teams throughout 2026 to support his ongoing growth and development.
- Opportunities in 2026:
- Hamish has been selected to compete in the Far North Queensland Cup with his Jeremy Brockie High-Performance Team from 14–16th April in Cairns.
- Awaiting selection for the FQN Northern Carnival from 2-3rd May in Townsville.
- Awaiting selection for the FQN Northern Carnival from 6-7th June in Cairns.
- Awaiting selection for the Football Queensland Winterfest Carnival from 3-5th July in Maroochydore.
- Awaiting selection for the Jeremy Brockie Castle Hill Cup with his JB High Performance team from the 6-8th July in Townsville.
- Awaiting selection for the Premier Invitational Tournament with his JB High Performance team from 25-27th September in the Gold Coast.
- Hamish also has the opportunity to play in a FNQ Super League with his JB High Performance Team throughout the year.
- Opportunities throughout the year to return to Brisbane City, MA Olympic Academy Teams, and Melbourne Victory PAC Teams.
- We are also liaising with English Premier League and Scottish Premier League teams to see if Hamish can have any opportunities to train with their academy teams when we go to the UK in August.
- Highlights from 2025:
- Coaching & Training: Access to top-tier coaching, skills development, and resources.
- Hamish currently trains 6 days per week and these training sessions combine a mixture of individual lessons for ongoing development, group training with his U11 Estates team, group training with his U9 High Performance Team at Jeremy Brockie, and group training with his U9 FQN state team.
Your donation helps cover these critical expenses and gives Hamish the tools he needs to succeed.
