    ABOUT Hannah Sealby

    Edge Hill, QLD

Since I was a three year old, playing 'Minkey Hockey' on the grass fields of my home town, I had always dreamt of playing for Australia. With the support of my family I finally pushed myself to play for Queensland at the 2025 National Masters Tournament, gaining a shock selection in the O40s Australian team. The 2026 World Cup is being hosted in Rotterdam, Netherlands this year and I'm humbled and excited to be able to be part of an extraordinary team of women competing for the title.

This is a year of pushing myself, setting goals and achieving them, doing hard things and most importantly showing my three beautiful children that they can continue to grow at any age. Hockey has given me so many opportunities in my life. It has taught me how to fail and how to respond to failure. It has taught me resilience, fostered my passions, provided friendships, pushed my drive and determination and been the reason for maintaining my mental and physical health. Ultimately, it is the grit in my life.

This is my first, and possibly my last opportunity to play hockey at an International level. The reality of this trip is that it is entirely self-funded and whilst exciting, it is a challenge for my young family.

Tax-free contributions would assist with travel, accommodation, uniforms, team levies and insurance.

If you have any desire or capacity to contribute to this dream, I would be very grateful. There are no expectations for contributions from anyone, but I have been repeatedly reminded that it is a choice some people would like to make. Your support, interest and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated.

Thank you and I can't wait to share the highs and lows with you all.
