I play competitive tennis at club, regional, and state levels through school and Tennis Australia tournaments, am involved in club coaching, and have been a ballkid for the past 2 years at Sydney’s largest annual international tournament, the United Cup.

I have recently been selected through a competitive process involving written applications, match observations, and interviews, to engage in an intensive international training and education experience through the selection into the NSW and Victoria Regional Tennis Squad to attend the John Newcombe (Newks) Tennis Academy in Texas, USA from the 12th to 30th September 2026. The 2 week program will include a full‑time, high‑performance training schedule in a world‑class academy, competition and benchmarking against US junior athletes, visits to five US colleges, offering insight into collegiate tennis pathways, and development of clear tennis and academic goals for athletes pursuing US college opportunities.

I would like to use this opportunity to progress my tennis skills and matchplay capability, and learn the work and commitment required for college tennis.

As you can imagine, an opportunity like this does not come without costs, including flights, on-site accommodation, access to facilities, coaches, fitness sessions, extra-curricular activities and visits to five US colleges with tennis programs.
