I’m Harvey Edmanson, a snowboard racer on the Australian Alpine Snowboard National Team. I grew up snowboarding in Australia and quickly fell in love with alpine racing. Now, I compete on the World Cup circuit with the goal of qualifying for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Most of my training is based here in Australia and I love every day I can be on snow.

When I’m not training or racing, I work full-time in Melbourne as a façade designer, which helps fund my sporting career. I also combine my design and engineering skills with my passion for snow by developing new race snowboards.

As one of only a few Australians in the sport of alpine snowboarding, I’m determined not only to reach the Olympics but to help create a pathway for the next generation of riders in this sport.

Competing internationally at the highest level is an incredible opportunity, but it comes with significant costs. Training, equipment, travel, coaching and race entries all add up, and balancing these with full-time work is challenging.
