    ABOUT Hawthorn Boroondara Cricket Club

    Hawthorn East, VIC

Hawthorn Boroondara Cricket Club (HBCC) plays a vital role in bringing people together, fostering friendships, promoting healthy lifestyles, and giving children and adults alike a place to belong. Behind the scenes, the club is are entirely run by dedicated volunteers — parents, players, coaches, and community members who give their time and energy to keep things running.

But delivering a great experience takes more than goodwill. Equipment, uniforms, training resources, facility maintenance, and competition costs all require funding. That’s where community fundraising becomes so important. It’s the lifeblood that helps grassroots clubs survive and thrive.

The ASF organisation is the ONLY way to make tax-deductible donations to Australian sport.

Every dollar raised goes directly back into the club — helping to provide safe equipment, improve facilities, support junior development, and create inclusive programs that welcome players of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Fundraising enables clubs to reduce fees, remove participation barriers, and open the doors wider to everyone in the community.

In an era where costs are rising and funding is limited, local support makes all the difference. Whether it's through a small donation, sponsorship, or volunteering at an event, every contribution strengthens the club and the community around it.

By supporting local fundraising efforts, you're not just backing a club — you're investing in people, in health, in opportunity, and in a more connected, active community.
