My name is Helena, and I have been given the incredible honour of being selected to represent Australia at the ICU World Cheerleading Championships.

This opportunity is something I have worked tirelessly for over many years. Cheerleading has taught me discipline, resilience, teamwork, and how to push through challenges even when things feel overwhelming. Wearing the green and gold is not just a personal dream — it is a privilege, and one I do not take lightly.

However, the financial reality of representing Australia is significant. Costs include competition fees, uniforms, travel, accommodation, and training expenses. I come from a single-parent household, and my mum works incredibly hard to support me.

Unfortunately, my dad does not provide child support and has cut contact, which has added emotional and financial strain. As a 17-year-old, I am doing everything I can to contribute — working, saving, and fundraising — but the full cost is more than I can manage alone.

Despite these challenges, I am completely committed to making this happen. I will continue training, working, and representing Australia with pride, courage, and gratitude. Any support — whether through a donation or sharing my page — means more than words can express.
