Henri and his crew, Mia Waters, will be travelling to the Australian NACRA 15 National Championships at Lake Macquarie, NSW in April 2026. Their goal is to finish first and qualify as the NACRA 15 entry in the Australian Youth Sailing Team for the World Youth Sailing Championships in Vilamoura, Portugal in December, 2026. The top 4 boats will also be selected for the Australian Sailing Youth Development Squad.

This fundraiser will help pay for Henri’s flights, accommodation, meals, fuel, coaching, and insurance for the championships. Henri is the 2025 NACRA 15 National Champion skipper, and was selected for the 2025 Australian Sailing National Youth Development Squad. In April, 2025 he attended the Australian Sailing National Youth Development Squad Camp in Brisbane to receive coaching from Lucy Copeland, former NACRA 17 sailor and member of the Australian Sailing Team. 

Henri has dedicated himself to sailing for the last 8 years, since he was 9. He is a hard-working athlete who combines sailing a NACRA 15 and other high-performance catamarans with part time gap year work in the construction industry.

Henri trains with and competes for Denmark Sailing Club, on the South Coast of Western Australia, as well as volunteering for them as a coach and helper. The Denmark Sailing Club is a very small, grass-roots, off the beach club. 

Henri has been awarded a scholarship from the Great Southern Academy of Sport, which provides access to strength and conditioning coaching, nutrition, physiotherapy and sports psychology. 

We are grateful for any donations to support Henri reach his goal of sailing against the best NACRA 15 sailors in the world and representing Australia in Vilamoura, Portugal.
