Our club started in 2013 in the historic Adelaide Hills German Lutheran Woolen Mill Town of Lobethal.

After several years, due to strong growth, we scouted around the Adelaide Hills for larger grounds and eventually relocated to Lenswood where the club has continued to flourish.

As recognition from Archery Australia and Archery South Australia, our club was recently invited to host the 2026 Australian Open Field Archery Championships for over 120 National and International competitors, and in addition we were also invited to host the National Field Archery Championships in 2027.

Our club is now feeling the pressure to not let anyone down by developing an international standard Field Archery Course on land donated by a local apple grower, and by rebuilding our clubrooms so that we can move back out of our equipment storage shed and provide a professional and inclusive area for new and existing archers and visitors.

Our clubrooms originally built in the 1950's had to be demolished due to asbestos contamination.

So now we need to build a new clubroom facility that will instill confidence and pride in new and existing club members.

We take great pride in the fact that we have a 40% female board membership and one of the fastest growing groups of female athletes of all ages and we desperately want to develop a club facility and field archery course that will remove the unique barriers that female athletes face to engage and grow to their full potential to be able to compete at a National and even International level as a result of the support and new facilities at our club.

Importantly our club is a place where people of all ages and life directions can contribute, feel valued and become connected to a community.

They can recharge their life energy, find purpose and reject loneliness and isolation.
