👤 ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Hudson, a 16-year-old beach volleyball athlete from Queensland, Australia.

My journey in beach volleyball started in 2022 when I first represented Queensland at just 12 years old. Since then, I’ve been selected every year, winning gold in 2025 and bronze in 2026.

Alongside this, I compete on the Queensland State Tour in the Premier Men’s division and nationally in the Elite Men’s division, regularly playing against some of the best athletes in Australia, including current and past Olympians. Competing at that level continues to push me to improve and raise my standard.

I've recently been selected to represent Australia at the U18 Asian Beach Volleyball Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan this May.

This is a huge milestone in my journey and an important step towards bigger opportunities ahead, including the U18 World Championships in the Netherlands and the Youth Olympics in Dakar later this year.

Looking ahead, my goal is to move to South Australia to join the National Men’s Beach Volleyball Program at the South Australian Sports Institute, where I can train full-time in a high-performance environment. My long-term goal is to represent Australia at the highest level, at the Commonwealth Games, World Championships, and the Olympic Games.

I want to see how far I can take this.

I enjoy the challenge of competing, improving, and pushing myself against better players. Every tournament and every training session is a chance to get better and move closer to the level I’m aiming for. I know there’s still a long way to go, but I’m committed to putting in the work and making the most of every opportunity.

🌍 The Reality

Opportunities like representing Australia are an incredible honour, but they also come with significant costs.

Travel, accommodation, uniforms, and competition expenses are all self-funded, which can make it challenging to take up every opportunity.

To make this possible, I’m currently raising funds to help cover these costs. Any support makes a real difference, not only in helping me get to competitions like this, but also in taking some of the financial pressure off my family.

Even the smallest contribution helps me take another step forward and make the most of opportunities like representing Australia.
