ABOUT India Colombi
👋 HI, I'M INDIA COLOMBI
I'm a 19-year-old senior international artistic gymnast based in Brisbane, Queensland, pursuing my dream of representing Australia on the world stage and ultimately at the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.
Gymnastics has been my passion since I was five years old. What started as a childhood love for flipping, flying and challenging myself has grown into a commitment that shapes every aspect of my life.
To give myself the best possible opportunity to pursue my sporting goals, I made the decision to move from South Australia to Queensland and live away from my family throughout my schooling years. Since then, I've dedicated myself to the pursuit of high-performance sport, balancing elite training, university studies and part-time work while striving to compete at the highest level.
Today, I train up to 30 hours per week and am entering a crucial phase of my career, with AIS camps, Commonwealth Games trials and future international selection opportunities on the horizon.
🤸♀️ MY JOURNEY
Growing up, gymnastics gave me a feeling unlike anything else. It made me feel as though there were endless possibilities and that I could achieve things I never thought possible.
Over the years, I have progressed through Australia's elite gymnastics pathway and have been fortunate to achieve several milestones, including:
🥈 Silver medal on vault at the Junior National Championships
🇦🇺 Selection into AIS camps as part of the Paris 2024 hopefuls program
🏆 2024 Senior International National Clubs Champion
🌏 Selection on national team pathways, including being a prospective athlete for the 2025 FISU World University Games
Like many athletes, my journey has included setbacks, including injuries that interrupted important opportunities. However, these experiences have strengthened my resilience, determination and commitment to achieving my long-term goals.
🏅 THE ROAD TO BRISBANE 2032
With a home Olympic Games on the horizon, I am working every day toward the dream of representing Australia in Brisbane in 2032.
Competing at an elite level requires much more than dedication and hard work. It also requires significant financial investment in:
✈️ Travel to competitions, camps and selection events
💪 Strength and conditioning, physiotherapy and recovery
🤸♀️ Specialist coaching and high-performance support
🎽 Equipment, grips, strapping and competition attire
🏨 Accommodation and competition expenses
As a full-time athlete and university student, these costs quickly add up.
💛 HOW YOU CAN HELP
In 2026, I am proud to be part of the
Aussie Athlete Fund's $1 Million Challenge
, led by 5-time Olympian Nat Cook OAM.
My goal is to raise $10,000 to help fund the costs associated with training, recovery, travel and competition as I continue my journey toward international representation and future Olympic aspirations.
Your support will directly contribute to:
✅ Training and competition preparation
✅ Travel and accommodation expenses
✅ Recovery, physiotherapy and injury prevention
✅ Equipment and essential training costs
✅ Opportunities that help me continue progressing toward the highest level of the sport
All donations are 100% tax-deductible through the Australian Sports Foundation.
