Backing Isaac Sommerfeld’s Journey to the Australian Under 16 Gridiron Team

Following an undefeated 3-0 state championship run as a running back for the Queensland U16 Sundevils, Isaac Sommerfeld has achieved the highest honour in youth sport: selection to represent his country in the 2026 Australia U16 Outbacks National American Football Team!

This year’s National Talent ID Search was the most competitive in American Football Australia's history, Isaac's selection is a direct reflection of his work ethic, discipline, and commitment to athletic excellence.

The International Tour & Elite Development:

This campaign represents a crucial milestone in Isaac's athletic pathway. He will attend an intensive 5-night elite development training camp in Narrabeen, NSW, focusing on high-performance tactical and physical training. Following the camp, the team will travel to Auckland, New Zealand, to represent Australia on foreign soil against the Kiwis on July 11, 2026.

Why We Need Your Support:

As Gridiron is an entirely amateur sport in Australia, there is no government funding available for player pathways. Families must fully self-fund the mandatory player fee of $4,350. + $685. for the Green & Gold Helmet
