Yes, you read that right! Australia does have a bobsled team and over the next few months, my team and I will be chasing our dreams competing in the IBSF North America Cup across Canada and the USA, pushing to qualify for next year’s Winter Olympic Games in Italy.

Bobsleigh isn’t like the big sports in Australia where funding and support are given. 

For us it’s all self funded, every flight, every piece of equipment and repairs, every sled, and every coaching session, every training session and all our accommodation comes straight out of our own pockets. That makes this journey harder, but it also makes it mean so much more.

As most of you know, I haven't been around the sport for long, but it’s already given me so much. A new challenge, a strong sense of community, and the chance to represent my  country on the world stage and make my friends and family proud.
