I am incredibly proud to share that my son, James, has been selected to attend the prestigious Polynesian Basketball USA Tour, a unique international basketball opportunity held in the United States. This is an extraordinary milestone in James’s basketball journey and a chance of a lifetime.

James has been passionate about basketball since the age of 8. What began as a young boy’s love for the game has grown into years of dedication, discipline, and countless hours of hard work on and off the court. Basketball isn’t just something James plays, it’s who he is. His dream is to become a professional basketball player, and opportunities like this tour are vital stepping stones toward making that dream a reality.

Since 2018, Polynesian Basketball USA Tours has helped young athletes from many backgrounds access pathways into American high school, college, and professional basketball programs. The tour is recognised not only for elite competition and exposure, but for its strong emphasis on character, work ethic, and cultural values.

Throughout the tour, James will:

• Compete against top American club teams
• Participate in high-level training sessions led by experienced coaches
• Experience the fast-paced, high-intensity style of American basketball

Coming from an Australian/Nigerian background, James is deeply honoured and grateful to be welcomed into the Polynesian Basketball family and entrusted with the opportunity to represent Polynesian culture, values, and pride. He understands the significance of this role and is committed to representing the community with respect, humility, discipline, and gratitude. Being part of this tour is not only about basketball for James, it is about learning, connection, and representing something greater than himself.

This tour is expected to be a life-changing experience, challenging James to grow as both a player and a young man while creating unforgettable memories and opening doors for his future. We have full confidence that he will make his family, coaches, and the Polynesian Basketball community proud as he represents them on the international stage.
