ABOUT Jarrah Clarke
Hi, my name is Jarrah, and I’m a 15-year-old basketball player from Townsville with a big dream.
I’ve been playing basketball for the past four years, and in that time it has become more than just a sport to me — it’s my passion, my focus, and something I’ve worked hard at every single day.
For the last three years, I’ve been proud to represent Townsville in Division 1 at regionals (NQJBC) and State Championships, competing at a high level and constantly pushing myself to improve.
Last year, I was incredibly honoured to be selected in the Queensland North Emerging Team, where I competed at the Southern Cross Challenge. That experience showed me what’s possible when you commit fully to your goals — and it motivated me to aim even higher.
This year, I’ve been selected in the Queensland North Under-16 Team to represent Queensland at the U16 National Championships in Victoria this June.
I’m especially proud to share that I am the only player selected from Townsville.
While this is an amazing opportunity, it also comes with significant costs. The registration fees alone are close to $5,000, and because I live in Townsville, my mum, my brothers, and I will need to travel to Mackay and Rockhampton for training camps before the championships.
My mum is incredibly supportive, and she's always done everything she can to help me chase my goals — but the financial pressure of this opportunity is a big challenge.
That’s why I’m reaching out for support.
Any contribution, big or small, will help me take this next step in my basketball journey — representing my region, my community, and Queensland on a national stage. Your support will go directly toward covering training camps, travel, accommodation, and competition costs.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for helping me turn this opportunity into reality.
