    ABOUT Jason Sheard

    Raglan, NSW

My name is Jason Sheard, I was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis in 2020 & have had a lower back fusion which affects my mobility. I live in the Central West area of NSW. In 2025 I commenced participating in the Australian All Abilities Golf Tournaments with a WR4GD tour pass in Standing Stableford Class which resulted in me becoming 7th in Australia for Standing All Abilities Golf.

My aim is to raise a total of $15,000 to allow me to participate in the 2026 All Abilities Golf tournaments and also purchase much needed equipment so others with disabilities can also play golf.

    Funding Required for 2026 Competition

Since my condition has progressed, I am now a Wheelchair participant I am ranked number one in Australia in seated golf & 13th in the world.

There will be (5) events through-out the 2026 year and I will need to raise $10,000.00 for the entire year. Which will allow $2000 for each event to cover the cost of the hire of a Paramotion Golf Wheelchair, Entry Fees, Travel & Accommodation for (4) days.

The events are held all over Australia and requires interstate travelling.

My main goal is to attend the Australian Wheelchair Championship to be held in May 2026 in QLD.

    Giving back to the Community

In the beginning for me, it was very difficult starting this venture as there was no support at that time and there is still no adaptive golf equipment available in my area.

To help me change this, I would need to raise another $5,000 which would be split $2500 each between Bathurst NSW and Leura NSW, the two areas I train in, to cover the cost of adaptive Golf equipment for people with a disability to play Golf. These areas now have PGA coaches available to do disability lessons and EDGA Physio Golf Assessors who can provide access passes to play in All Ability Inclusive events, but we still need adaptive Golf equipment to be available to make it easier to get started.

    Why Your Support Matters

Golf has given me something incredibly important after a life-changing diagnosis – purpose, routine, and a reason to keep pushing forward. With your support, I can continue competing at a national level while also helping ensure others living with disabilities are given opportunities that currently do not exist in my region.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting this journey.

    Kind Regards
