ABOUT Jayne Boardman
Hi, I’m Jayne Boardman—a proud mum, a spirited grandma, and a woman who refuses to let my mobility challenges define my limits.
Until recently, I’d never imagined myself wearing the green and gold. But something extraordinary happened… I found Para Ice Hockey—and something inside me lit up. 🔥
From my very first time on the ice, I knew: this is where I belong. This isn’t just a sport—it’s a powerful new chapter of purpose, connection, and unshakeable drive. It’s taught me that it’s never too late to chase something big.
And now, I’ve been selected to represent Australia at the 2025 Women’s Para Ice Hockey World Championships in Slovakia. 🇸🇰
This will be my first international competition, and it's more than just a trip—it's a dream come true.
But here's the thing…
This team is entirely self-funded. Every cost—from flights to accommodation, gear to training camps—comes out of our own pockets. And as a disabled athlete, that adds up quickly.
That’s why I’m asking—not for charity, but for belief.
Belief in what disabled women can do when given the chance. Belief that passion, talent and courage should never be held back by price tags.
Your donation—no matter the amount—goes directly to helping me get to Slovakia to stand proudly on the ice, shoulder to shoulder with my teammates, representing Australia and showing the world what’s possible.
I’m still the same Jayne who loves to scuba dive, water ski, and create art that lights up a room. But now I’m adding one more title to that list—Australian Athlete.
Let’s make history together.
Let’s get me to Slovakia.
With heartfelt thanks,
Jayne 💛💚
