    ABOUT Jessica Zonneveld

    Aspley, QLD

Hi, I’m Jessica Zonneveld — a 21-year-old national-level track athlete from Brisbane, QLD, specialising in the 800m and 1500m. I’ve proudly represented Queensland and my University at national championships in both track and cross-country, but my dream goes far beyond the finish line here at home.

I’m chasing the chance to compete on the world stage — with my sights firmly set on the World Athletics Championships 2026 and the Oceania Athletics Championships 2026. These aren’t just competitions — they’re the pathway to one day wearing the green and gold for Australia.

But dreams like this come at a cost — physically, emotionally, and financially.

I come from a single-parent household and fund my athletic journey largely on my own. I work hard through university internships to support myself while finishing my degree, but every cent I earn is stretched across training fees, physio, flights, performance gear, and competition costs. I don’t have a big sponsor. I have grit, discipline — and a deep belief that this dream is worth chasing!

There have been setbacks. But I’ve never stopped. Because I know I’m not just running for myself — I’m running to show young athletes that strength isn’t about avoiding struggle — it’s about showing up anyway, again and again.

Your support isn’t just helping an athlete. You’re investing in possibility. You’re making it possible for me to train harder, recover better, and show up on the start line knowing I have a team behind me.

If you’ve ever believed in the power of sport — to inspire, to uplift, to transform lives — then I ask you to join me. Thank you for believing in this journey. Together, we can chase something extraordinary!
