ABOUT Jindabyne Rowing Club
Based on the shores of Lake Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains, JRC evolved from a group of friends looking to make the most of the lake in the summer months. With a few competitive rowers in the ranks, it's no surprise that rowing became an addiction for them all.
Establish in 2024, the club is in it's infancy but growing quickly.
Our aim to build a strong rowing foundation here in the mountains and encourage the local community to take up this amazing sport, coach school level rowing, and welcome rowing tourism to the mountains. The club holds annual Learn to Row programs for beginner to learn competency and confidence, alongside Return to Row sessions for those experienced rowers looking to scratch an itch and get back in boat after some time out. We also run Junior Development Squads to encourage the next generation of rowers as they begin their adventures on the water.
We are currently fundraising for new boats to support our growing membership. We were very generously donated all of the boats in our current fleet when the club was set up which we are eternally grateful to the larger rowing community for. We now need to update our fleet and are in need of specific boats to support our membership so they can continue to train, race and develop their rowing.
