Johanna’s ice hockey journey began in 2018 at the O’Brien Icehouse in Melbourne, when she joined a learn-to-skate program just for fun. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a deep passion; she loved the speed, the teamwork, and the feeling of freedom that comes from being on the ice.

Since then, Johanna has dedicated countless early mornings and late nights to training and competitions to pursue her dream. Her commitment and hard work have seen her proudly wear the green and gold, representing Australia at the IIHF U18 Women’s World Championships in 2023 (Scotland), 2024 (Spain), and 2025 (Poland), as well as at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games in South Korea.

A highlight of her career so far was winning gold and earning promotion to IIHF Division Ib at the 2023 World Championship; a moment she’ll never forget.
