ABOUT Joondalup Brothers Rugby Union Football Club
As a non-profit organization, our club relies on the generous support of our sponsors and the community. We are currently fundraising to support our core mission of providing a comprehensive player pathway from our youngest to our senior and Premier Grade players. The funds we raise are vital for:
- Player and Coach Development: We need to attract, retain, and remunerate high-quality coaches and specialist staff (such as strength and conditioning coaches, physiotherapists, and dieticians) to enhance the skills and performance of our players. This is particularly important for our senior teams as we strive to maintain our Premier Grade status and provide an elite pathway for our aspiring junior players.
- Essential Equipment and Resources: Maintaining a successful club requires a significant investment in equipment, facilities, and grounds. This includes everything from new training equipment and updated field lights to general maintenance and club house improvements.
- Fostering a Strong Club Culture: We believe in creating an environment where our junior players look up to and aspire to play for our senior teams. Funds help us facilitate this by supporting events that bring the entire club together, such as having juniors lead our senior teams onto the field on game day.
Why We Care About It: Our Vision for the Future
We are passionate about rugby and its power to bring people together, teach valuable life skills, and create a strong sense of community. Our vision is to ensure that the Joondalup Brothers Rugby Union Football Club remains a premier club in Australia, capable of providing a complete rugby experience for every member. By investing in our players and infrastructure, we are not just building a club; we are building a legacy. We want to ensure that every player who wears our blue and white "butchers stripes" has the opportunity to develop their skills, achieve their potential, and experience the lifelong friendships that are the hallmark of our sport.
How We Plan to Make It Happen: Our Fundraising Strategy
We have a multi-faceted approach to fundraising, which includes:
- Sponsorship Packages: We offer a range of sponsorship opportunities, from major corporate sponsorships to smaller business packages, events, or even individual player sponsorships. We believe in building strong, active partnerships with our sponsors.
- The Brothers Rugby Club Foundation Trust: This foundation is a key initiative aimed at building a sustainable capital base for the club's long-term aspirations. Donations made through the Australian Sports Foundation are tax-deductible for donors and are directed towards major capital projects and resources that will benefit the club for years to come.
- Community-based Initiatives: We run a variety of events and initiatives, such as our annual Ladies Day, which not only raises money for the club but also supports important charities. The "Brothers 100 Club" is another popular initiative that allows individuals to contribute to the club in an affordable and meaningful way.
- Volunteer Support: The backbone of our club is our dedicated volunteer base. Our fundraising efforts are supported by the hard work of our committee members, coaches, managers, and other volunteers who generously give their time and energy to organize events and secure contributions.
We are committed to transparently using all funds raised to directly support the development of our players and the long-term success of the Joondalup Brothers Rugby Union Football Club.
