I did not think I would love competition sport, and felt quite nervous in my first competition, placing dead last. But that did not stop me. I trained harder, and failed many more times. My perseverance paid off when I placed second in the South Pacific UNAA competition, in Adelaide last year.

I went from total rookie to elite athlete in my division placing first in many local competitions.

But i have learnt that it is not about winning, but about giving it your all, encouraging others, and developing a strong character as you go.

I am looking forward to showing those US athletes what Aussies are made of.
