Hi, my name is Kaia Parnaby and I proudly represent Australia as a member of the Australian Spirit Softball Team.

This year, I have been selected to compete in the World Cup Group Stage in Prague — an incredible opportunity to represent my country on the international stage once again.

Softball is an Olympic sport in Australia, however funding is extremely limited, and athletes are required to cover the majority of costs associated with competing internationally. The total cost of this trip will exceed $7,000, including flights, accommodation, uniforms, and tournament expenses.

I have dedicated more than 15 years to the Australian national program and have represented Australia at 6 World Championships throughout my career. Wearing the green and gold has always been one of the greatest honours of my life, and I continue to give everything I can to compete at the highest level.

Alongside training full time, I am currently studying a Master of Teaching while also working nightfill at Coles to support myself financially. Unfortunately, balancing study, work, and elite sport makes funding international competition extremely challenging, and I am reaching out for support to help make this trip possible.
