ABOUT Kamron Makawa
Hi everyone,
We’re excited to introduce you to Kamron—some may know him as Kam—an 11-year-old from our local community with a big heart, a humble attitude, and a powerful passion for basketball. We’re incredibly proud to share that Kam has been selected to represent Western Australia at the School Sport National Championships, taking place in Queensland from July 26 to August 1, 2025!
Kam has been playing since he was just 4 years old, pouring his energy into early morning and evening trainings, showing determination and heart beyond his years. His journey hasn’t been easy—he’s faced setbacks like missed shots, tough games, and moments on the bench—but he’s never given up. That resilience recently earned him the title of 2024 Grand Final MVP in the Western Australia Basketball League (WABL), after his team—the Joondalup Wolves Under-12s Division 1—triumphed in the Grand Final.
Kam continues to challenge himself, playing for the Under-14s Team 2 and constantly working to improve both on and off the court. Earlier this year, he took on one of his biggest goals yet—trialing for the WA School Sport Under-12s State Basketball Team. In March, his hard work paid off when he was selected to represent WA at the Nationals!
We’re reaching out to raise funds to help cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and uniforms for this amazing opportunity. Every donation—big or small—or even just sharing this message would mean the world to Kam and help him get one step closer to achieving another dream in his journey of playing basketball.
Thank you for supporting Kam and being part of his journey!
With gratitude,
Sandra / Kam’s Family
