    ABOUT Kellie Nicholson

    Mount Gravatt East, QLD

Here we go again! In 2026, I’ll be heading to Rotterdam to defend our undefeated World Champion status — and this will be my final time representing Australia on the international stage.

I’ve been incredibly privileged to represent my country in hockey five times, including two World Cups:

    • 2020 – Nottingham World Cup (cancelled due to COVID)
    • 2023 – Christchurch
    • 2024 – Cape Town World Cup
    • 2025 – Cairns
    • 2026 – Rotterdam World Cup

Hockey has been a lifelong passion. It has taught me resilience, teamwork, and the power of community, shaping not just the athlete I am, but the person I’ve become. As I head into this final campaign, I’m proud to show that age is simply a number — passion, commitment, and performance don’t have an expiry date.

While I’m immensely proud of these achievements, representing Australia at this level is entirely self-funded. Athletes are responsible for all costs associated with international competition. I’m fully committed to making this final campaign happen, but I do need some support — and that reality is why this will be my last international trip.

Your tax-deductible contribution will help cover:

    • International travel (including flights to England and the Netherlands)
    • Accommodation for training camps and tournament competition
    • Official Australian team uniforms and equipment
    • Tournament registration fees and levies
    • Preparation and training-related expenses

Competing at this level provides a rare opportunity to perform on the world stage, connect with elite athletes from across the globe, and showcase the strength of Australian Masters hockey.

Any support — large or small — helps ease the financial burden and makes it possible for me to represent Australia one final time in 2026.

If you’re not in a position to donate, I completely understand. Sharing my story and helping spread the word is just as valuable. Your encouragement, in any form, truly makes a difference.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
