ABOUT Kimberly Young
This July, I’ll be travelling to the Netherlands to represent Australia at the Masters Hockey World Cup — something that is one of the proudest moments of my sporting career.
I started playing hockey when I was 12 in a small town in upstate NY, and it quickly became more than just a sport to me. Hockey has shaped a huge part of my life, given me lifelong friendships, taught me resilience and discipline, and allowed me to travel the world competing at an elite level over many years.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have been selected to represent Australia for the first time at an international tournament. I'm very excited to be wearing the green and gold, and I’m determined to make the most of the opportunity.
As with many Masters sporting events, players are responsible for funding the trip themselves. The costs include flights to Europe, accommodation, player fees, uniforms, insurance, and other travel expenses.
I’m raising funds to help make this journey possible and to ease the financial burden of competing internationally. Any support, big or small, will go directly towards helping me represent Australia at the World Cup.
Thank you for supporting me and being part of this journey. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to compete on the world stage and represent Australia doing something I love.
