ABOUT Krista McNamara
Krista trains 5 times each week in the pool, complemented by additional strength and conditioning work to build endurance, speed, and refine her technique. She balances the demands of school and sport with determination, showing a high level of commitment to her development as an athlete.
Throughout the season, Krista competes at key events such as State Championships, where she works towards achieving qualifying times and gaining valuable race experience against strong competition. She has also travelled with her team to regional competitions, including trips to Karratha, which provide important opportunities to race, build team spirit, and represent her club with pride.
Through the Australian Sports Foundation, Krista is seeking support to help cover the increasing costs associated with competitive swimming. This includes travel to events such as State Championships and regional meets like Karratha, competition entry fees, accommodation, and essential training equipment. Living in a regional area means these opportunities come with significant travel expenses, and every contribution makes a meaningful difference.
