KCRA is embarking on one of our biggest infrastructure projects – the complete redevelopment of our cattle yards.

Our existing yards have served our Association and events for many years, but the time has come to replace them with a new, purpose-built facility that will support the future of campdrafting and rodeos in Kununurra.

The project involves demolishing the existing yards and constructing a completely new cattle yard system at the Kununurra Rodeo Grounds.

The cattle yards are an essential part of our sporting infrastructure. They allow cattle to be safely received, held, drafted and moved throughout our campdraft and rodeo events. Modernising this infrastructure will help KCRA deliver our events more safely and efficiently while providing facilities capable of supporting our events in the East Kimberley for many years to come.

Our events bring together competitors, volunteers, families, spectators and supporters from Kununurra and beyond. They are made possible through an enormous contribution of volunteer time and the ongoing support of local businesses, sponsors and the wider community.

Funds raised through this campaign will contribute directly towards the development of the new cattle yards, including the materials, construction and associated works required to bring the project to life.
