Hi, my name is Kyros Mayo. I’m the son of immigrant parents who came to Australia to give me a better future. Life hasn’t been easy, but we’re doing our best — and I’ve found something I truly love: Karate.

Seven years ago, we started from scratch in this country. My mom enrolled me in a karate class to help me build confidence and discipline, and since then, karate has become my passion. It’s more than just a sport to me — it’s my dream.

I train hard every week and proudly represent my state in competitions. But karate is not a cheap sport. My parents do everything they can to support me, but it’s hard. Aside from regular training fees and state team costs, we have to pay for seminars, tournaments, uniforms, and gear. Every year, we travel interstate at least twice to compete in national-level events — and the travel and accommodation costs add up quickly.

I’m still too young to qualify for most sports grants or funding. That’s why I’m reaching out to ask for your help.

Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward my training and competition costs. With your support, I’ll be able to keep doing what I love and continue chasing my dream of representing Australia one day on the world stage. I promise to give it everything I’ve got and make you proud.
