ABOUT Lachlan Thomas
Hi, I’m Lachlan Thomas, a 14-year-old athlete with a deep passion for sports. I’ve been selected to represent Australia on the U15 Australian Flag Football Team at the first-ever Junior Flag Football Championships in Los Angeles, USA, in June 2025. This historic event is a stepping stone toward Flag Football’s inclusion in the Olympic Games in 2028 and 2032, bringing together top athletes from around the world. Competing at this level is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but since it’s self-funded, I need support to make this dream a reality. Representing Australia on the world stage is an incredible honour, and this experience will push me closer to my dreams of being a successful athlete. I’m so excited to wear the Australian colours and
compete against some of the world’s best young athletes from countries including USA, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, Panama and more. My sporting journey has led me to this opportunity, even though I had no idea it would do so. It uses the skills I’ve learned in Oz Tag, Rugby League and Track and Field athletics events.
The costs involved in attending such a prestigious event are significant. Between travel, accommodation, meals, and other expenses, it will cost $5000 to cover the costs of
this competition. I’m reaching out to friends, family, and the community to help support me on this exciting journey. You could help by
1. Donating to My Fundraiser
Your generous donations will go directly to funding my trip, and no amount is too small. Every dollar counts, and your support means the world to me. You can donate through my Australian Sporting Foundation page. Donations are tax deductible.
2. Share My Story
Even if you're unable to contribute financially, you can still help by sharing this campaign with your friends and family. The more people who hear about my journey, the more the sport will be recognised and grow support.
