ABOUT Lee Sykes
In August 2026, I will represent Australia at the Natural Strongman World Championships in Scotland in the Open Masters division.
This journey means far more to me than simply competing.
I’m a 50-year-old widower, father, foster father, former first responder, and everyday working Australian who found strength training during one of the hardest seasons of my life. Strongman became more than a sport — it became a way to rebuild, heal, and keep moving forward when life became heavy.
I began this journey in March 2023. I am still very new to the sport, yet through training, setbacks, injuries, grief, and perseverance, I earned a podium finish at the Australian Nationals and the opportunity to compete on the world stage alongside some of the strongest Masters athletes on the planet.
Competing internationally comes with significant costs, including flights, accommodation, competition fees, recovery, equipment, and travel expenses. Your support will help make this opportunity possible and allow me to proudly represent Australia overseas.
More importantly, I hope this journey shows others that strength is not just measured in kilos lifted, but in the ability to keep standing when life tries to knock you down.
Every donation, share, and word of encouragement genuinely means the world to me and my family.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
