We are reaching out to ask for support for our 14 year old son, Liam Carmichael who has been given some amazing opportunities through volleyball. Liam has proudly represented his school, club, Queensland, and now has opportunities with Australia through competitions and training camps.

Liam is a dedicated, hardworking, and determined young athlete who puts his heart into every training session and competition. Volleyball has become a huge part of his life and schooling. Many mornings start at 6am with training before school, constantly pushing himself to improve and be the best he can be. The sport has taught him discipline, resilience, and that hard work and dedication truly pay off.

As many families know, the costs involved with competitive sport quickly add up. Between training fees, uniforms, travel expenses, accommodation, tournament registrations, shoes, and equipment for both indoor and beach volleyball, it has become financially challenging to cover everything on our own.

As parents, there is nothing we love more than watching Liam grow into such an incredible athlete and person. We are starting this fundraiser to help ensure he doesn’t miss any opportunities placed in front of him due to financial pressures.

Liam is travelling to Adelaide in July for a competition and training camp with the Australian squad, and potentially to Perth in September with the Queensland team again. His ambition is to take volleyball as far as possible, with dreams of one day earning an international scholarship and competing at the Olympic Games.

Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to our family and will go directly toward helping Liam continue pursuing the sport he loves. We would hate to see his talent and opportunities limited because of funding.
