ABOUT Lila Anderton
This June, I’ll be travelling from Australia to compete at the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta in the Women’s Club 8 event — the Wargrave Challenge Cup — representing Sydney Rowing Club on one of the biggest stages in international rowing.
This season has already delivered some incredible results and milestones. I was proud to win gold medals in the Women’s 8 at both the Riverview Cup and the NSW State Championships, along with gold in the Open Women’s 4.
At the 2026 Australian Rowing Championships, I also secured bronze medals in the Open Women’s 8 and Open Women’s 4 before finishing the season on a high with two Australian titles in the Women’s Club 4 and Women’s Club 8.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities and support that have helped make this season possible, and I’m now hoping to carry this momentum onto the international stage at Henley.
Competing internationally is an incredible opportunity and an important step in my journey as an elite athlete. However, the costs of overseas travel, accommodation, boat transport, and racing expenses are significant.
Alongside training and competing at the highest level, I’m also studying Economics and Law at university, balancing both academic and sporting commitments.
Any contribution, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for supporting my rowing journey and helping my crew represent Australia and Sydney Rowing Club on the world stage at Henley Royal Regatta.
