Hi, my name is Liliyana, and I am so excited and proud to have been selected to represent South Australia in both the 12 & Under State Netball Team at the 2026 National School Sports Netball Championships in Darwin from 12–18 September 2026 and the 12 & Under State Basketball Team at the 2026 National School Sports Basketball Championships in Newcastle from 25-30 October 2026.

Wearing the South Australian colours is a dream come true for me. I have worked hard for many years (at West Adelaide Basketball Club, Grange Uniting Netball Club and West Adelaide Netball Club) spending many hours training, playing games and learning how to become a better player and teammate. Netball and Basketball are sports I love, and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to compete against some of the best young athletes from around Australia.

Being selected for the state team is an amazing achievement, but it also comes with a lot of costs. The total cost to attend 2 National Championships is approximately $7000, and families are responsible for covering all expenses.

My fundraising goal of $5000 will help pay for some of the important costs, including:

• Flights to and from Darwin and Newcastle
• Accomodation in Darwin and Newcastle
• National Championship fees and training and
• My official South Australian State Netball and Basketball Team uniform

My mum will be covering the costs of her accomodation, travel and meals.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help me get one step closer to taking the court in the South Australian colours. Your support will allow me to focus on training, competing and making the most of this incredible opportunity.

This year is also extra special because I have also been selected to play with the West Adelaide Under 14 Division 1 Girls Basketball Team, who are the current South Australian Under 14 Division 1 State Champions and will compete at the National Footlocker Under 14 Club Championships in Perth from 25 September to 3 October 2026.

Having the chance to compete at 3 national championships so close together is something I am incredibly grateful for, but it is also a big commitment and also a similar significant cost for my family.
