Keeping Fishing Thriving at the Little Ship Club on Straddie

Little Ship Club has been bringing people together on the waters of Moreton Bay for generations. Based at beautiful One Mile, North Straddie, we are home to the Little Ship Game Fishing Club and an active Fishing Section that welcomes everyone—from juniors catching their first fish to experienced anglers competing in our major tournaments.

Throughout the year, we host monthly fishing competitions, family-friendly fishing events, and premier game-fishing tournaments that encourage participation, build skills, and create lasting memories. Whether it's children learning to fish alongside their parents, volunteers helping deliver community events or visiting anglers enjoying our spectacular waterways, Little Ship Club is where our community connects through sport.

Keeping these opportunities available takes more than passion. Behind every successful event are the facilities, equipment, volunteers and operational support that make it all possible. Our pontoons, moorings and waterfront infrastructure require ongoing maintenance to remain safe and functional, while rising costs for staffing, insurance, safety equipment, compliance and event delivery continue to grow.

That's why we're raising $75,000 through the Australian Sports Foundation to establish the Little Ship Club Operational Fund.
