Making History: Road to LA 2028

I’m Lucia Weiss, a 20-year-old Australian freestyle wrestler competing in the 65 kg division.

I’m raising funds to help me move overseas and train and compete internationally. Being based overseas would give me access to stronger competition, higher-level training partners and more opportunities to develop as an athlete.

My goal is to put myself in the best possible environment to chase my dream of representing Australia on the world stage and working towards the LA 2028 Olympic pathway.

2026 has been a big year for me. I won Gold at the Australian National Championships in the U23 65 kg division and Silver medals at both the U20 and Senior Victorian State Championships. I’ve also had the opportunity to train overseas, including in Mongolia, which showed me how valuable international training can be.

Now I want to take that next step.

I want to make history in Australian wrestling, and this is the beginning of that journey.

Moving overseas and competing internationally comes with significant costs, including accommodation, travel, training, competitions, nutrition and everyday living expenses.

Every donation will help make it possible for me to spend more time training and competing where I can continue to improve and chase my goals.

I’m putting everything I have into this sport, and I’d love for you to be part of the journey.

Help me make history.
