    ABOUT Lucy DARRAGH

    Gerringong, NSW

We are raising funds to help Lucy travel to the international events in the 2026 WSL Challenger Series. The locations for the Series include South Africa, USA, Brazil and Portugal.

In 2025, while most 15-year-olds were attending school classes in year 10, Lucy was travelling throughout southeast Asia competing for the first time in the regional World Qualifying Series and completing schoolwork remotely via distance education. In her first year competing in the open division, Lucy had two major wins in the 2025 Qualifying Series (Nias Pro and Taiwan Open). She also cemented her position at the top of the leaderboard and became one of the youngest Australian female surfers to ever qualify for the World Challenger Series.

Lucy also won an individual bronze medal in the 2025 ISA World Junior Surfing Games in Peru, helped Team Australia win Gold in the overall point score, and has qualified to represent her country again in the 2026 ISA World Junior Games in EL Salvador.

Her love of surfing is obvious to all who know her, and she has been riding waves for fun since she was 7 years old. Lucy's dream to make her passion a career started last year with the WQS, and now she has taken the next step to make this a reality. Qualifying for the World Challenger Series took skill and determination, and Lucy is the type of athlete who is prepared to work really hard to make her dreams come true.

Thank you for considering a donation to Lucy's Challenger Series campaign. Your support could make a huge difference to the development of this young Australian athlete.
