In Honour of Aunty Sandra – Fighting Motor Neurone Disease (MND)
A Family Fundraiser for Hope, Strength & Sport
This year, our hearts are with our Aunty Sandra, who was recently diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) — a cruel and devastating illness that is progressing quickly. Watching someone we love face this battle has changed our family forever.
We’re standing together — as a family and as athletes — to raise funds and awareness for MND research and support, while also helping me, Luke, continue my dream of representing Australia at the Virtus Global Games.
💙 We are donating 75% of all funds raised directly to MND charities — to help fund research, patient care, and community support for families just like ours.
The remaining 25% will help cover the costs of my swimming journey as a multiclass athlete representing Queensland and, hopefully, Australia at future international events.
💙
Why MND?
Motor Neurone Disease (MND) affects thousands of Australians, taking away muscle control while leaving the mind untouched. There’s no cure — but there is hope.
Every donation will help fund vital research, support programs, and awareness efforts to make life better for people living with MND.
This cause is deeply personal.
Our Aunty Sandra is fighting with incredible courage, and this fundraiser is dedicated to her — and to every family walking the same path.

Luke’s Journey – Swimming for a Bigger Cause
My name is Luke, and I’m a proud multiclass swimmer from Queensland with big dreams — including competing at the Virtus Global Games in 2026 (Thailand) and 2027 (Egypt).
This year, I was honoured to be named:
- 2025 Multiclass Swimmer for Queensland at the School Sport Australia Games
- 2025 Male Multiclass Swimmer of the Year at the Queensland State School Swimming Championships.
When I’m not in the pool, I volunteer with Broadbeach Surf Life Saving Club, where I help with Nippers and patrols. I was proud to be named Cadet of the Year last season.

Ryan’s Journey – Resilience and Team Spirit
My brother Ryan is not only my biggest supporter but also an incredible athlete. After a six-month break from swimming due to injury, Ryan has made a determined comeback to the pool.
He’s also a champion netballer, playing for Helensvale Netball Club, who went through their 2024 season undefeated and won the Grand Final! Ryan has represented at the School Sport State Championships and trialled for the Queensland National Team for 2025.
Ryan also loves Nippers at Broadbeach Surf Life Saving Club and has previously competed at the Queensland State Swimming Championships. His drive, kindness, and strength inspire me every day.

Your support will:
- Contribute 75% directly to MND research, care, and support services

With love and gratitude,
Luke & Ryan 💙💚
