ABOUT Macquarie United Sub Junior Rugby League Football Club
We are fund raising for essential training and match game equipment.
We welcome boys and girls aged 5 -16 years of age, of all skill levels and backgrounds, providing a fun, safe and inclusive environment where young people can thrive. Our club is more than just sport, it’s a place of connection, belonging and opportunity. Run entirely by passionate volunteers, we support 384 registered players, with 33% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, and 101 coaches and team staff. We are a true reflection of our diverse community and recognised as the largest youth service provider on the western side of Lake Macquarie. Located in a region facing high levels of financial hardship and social disadvantage, we aim to remove barriers to participation and ensure every child has the chance to be active, build friendships and grow in confidence. We champion physical and mental wellbeing, lifelong health and learning through teamwork, and respect. We are committed to safeguarding all young people and proudly foster a culture of inclusion, leadership and growth. Our is vision is clear; we are inclusive and diverse. We will provide the opportunity for any young person, regardless of culture, gender or ability to learn, play and love the game of Rugby League. The club is proud to offer opportunities for growth & learning in young people within our community. Promoting the benefits of lifelong physical activity for health and wellbeing, while learning about positive social behaviours alongside teammates and friends, are values that are part of the culture and shared responsibility, is the club we aspire to be.
