    ABOUT Mahalia Tauri

Hi, I am Mahalia Tauri, a 12-year-old aspiring athlete and proud student at Keebra Park State High School, where I’m part of the Girls Sports Academy. I’m currently raising funds through the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) to support my selection in two upcoming Queensland State Championships, representing the South Coast region:

    • U12 Girls Netball – QLD State School Championships in Caloundra (29th May – 1st June)
    • U12 Girls Touch Football – QLD State School Championships in Roma (14th – 16th August)

Being selected for both teams is a huge honour and an exciting step in my sporting journey. Last year, I was proud to be named a shadow player for the Queensland Under 12 Girls Touch Football team, and I’ve been working incredibly hard ever since to earn a spot on the official squad this year.

To prepare, I train before school at 6am with Clint Marama from Shred and Rip Fitness, focusing on my speed, agility, strength, and conditioning. I also train with James Ambrosini at the Elite S.A.S.S. Academy, developing technical skills and strengthening my mindset.

    Additionally, I play:

    • Rugby League for Keebra Park SHS

    • Rugby Sevens for the Renegades

    • OzTag, competing in the 3P Tournament

This fundraiser will help cover the travel, accommodation, uniforms, and tournament costs for the two state championships. Donations are processed securely through the Australian Sports Foundation, and may be tax-deductible for Australian donors.

Thank you for supporting my sporting journey, your contribution will help me represent South Coast with pride and keep chasing my dream of one day wearing the maroon jersey for Queensland.
