ABOUT Maja Andrysiak

Kenmore, QLD

I am a Brisbane-based powerlifter and national multi-gold medallist and will be competing at the Australian National Championships, vying for selection to the 2026 Junior and Sub-Junior International Powerlifting Championships for the third consecutive year, as well as aiming to make my debut at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships. After winning the 84kg class at the Australian National Championships last year, I went on to place 9th overall at the World Championships in Costa Rica, including a 5th-place finish in the deadlift. I am now preparing to return to Nationals with the goal of representing Australia internationally once again.

I am fundraising to help cover the significant costs of competing overseas, including travel, accommodation, and competition expenses. Alongside full-time training, I coach, work, and study psychology, with everything I earn going back into my athletic pursuit — but competing internationally twice in one year isn’t possible without support.

Your contribution directly helps put me on the international platform representing Australia, which is the biggest honour of my life and allows me to inspire more participation in women’s strength sports. Every donation helps turn years of training into the opportunity to compete, inspire, and give back to the community that shaped me.
