    ABOUT Maksym Gandziuk

My name is Max Gandziuk, and canoe sprint has been a defining part of my life for over eight years. I first discovered the sport growing up in Ukraine, and since moving to Australia, it has an even more important part of my life.

Over the years, I have dedicated countless early mornings, long training sessions, and hours in the gym to improving every small detail of my performance. The process has taught me discipline, resilience, and patience.

I have been fortunate to achieve success at the national level, becoming a multiple-time National Champion and representing Australia twice at the Junior World Championships and once at the U23 World Championships. Every race has been a step forward, and every season has strengthened my belief that I can continue progressing towards senior international competition, with the ultimate dream of competing at the Olympic Games.

This season, I qualified to represent Australia at the U23 World Championships in Canada. However, competing at a high-performance level involves significant costs, including athlete contribution fees, travel, accommodation, training camps, and expensive paddling equipment.

Balancing university, training, and the financial demands of international competition is challenging, and external support makes a meaningful difference. Funding through the Australian Sports Foundation will directly assist with these costs and allow me to focus fully on preparing, performing, and making the most of this opportunity.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps me continue this journey and represent Australia at the highest level possible.

I am incredibly grateful for any support and for anyone who chooses to be part of this journey.

All donations over $2 are tax-deductible.

    Thank you for your support.
