It started on the fields of Milperra.

A young kid, a ball, and a dream.

Malakai pulled on his first jersey with the Milperra Lions and fell in love with the game not just the goals and the glory, but the grind.

The early mornings, the tough trainings, the lessons only football can teach you.

None of that journey happened alone. Every coach who gave their time, every teammate who pushed him, every community member who showed up, every teacher at school who believed in him. Malakai is grateful for every single one of you. You made him who he is today.

That support carried him from Milperra Public School all the way to Westfield Sports High, and now at just 13 years old, he's competing in NPL 1 , just one step below Australia's top flight, the A-League.

And now Japan is calling.

Malakai has earned an international opportunity that wouldn't have been possible without the village behind him. To even have a chance to represent on a world stage is something he doesn't take for granted for a single second.

But to get there, he needs your help. Flights, accommodation and tournament costs are beyond what his family can carry alone, and every contribution no matter how small means the world to him and his family.
